Deputy Director of Development
The Battle Creek Housing Commission (BCHC) is seeking a Deputy Director to provide professional assistance to the BCHC Executive Director (ED) to oversee operations and development. The classification provides policy direction to senior management; monitors and evaluates the activities and services of all agency departments and divisions; and serves as Acting CEO in the absence of the CEO.
Prerequisites include a bachelor’s degree, MBA or comparable Master’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university. Requires planning, accounting, administrative, public relations, & verbal/written communication skills, and the ability to maintain excellent working relationships with residents, landlords, staff, Board of Commissioners, government officials, and the public. The BCHC owns 150 RAD PBV, 170 public housing/pre-RAD Section 18 Blend units and 20 Turnkey III Homeownership units. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Bloomington (IN) Housing Authority is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Executive Director. The agency functions with a staff of 30 employees and is governed by a 7-member Board of Commissioners. BHA also has a very active initiative to hire Indiana University interns. BHA has been a HUD high-performer for the last 15 years. HUD has also recognized the agency as one of the top four PHAs in Indiana for their innovative landlord engagement strategies. The net financial position of BHA is $29,099,647. BHA administers over 1700 Housing Choice Vouchers that include VASH, Emergency, PBV, PBV RAD, TPV, and some SRO units. There are 302 RAD units that have been recently renovated. Under development is a 45-unit affordable for-sale single-family subdivision on land trust. Also scheduled for the fall of 2024 is a 38-unit LIHTC / HTC development within 811 units and 29 Project Based Vouchers.
